Italian Soda
















Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
Peel from one lemon, julienned
1 Cup water
Juice from 3-4 lemons
2 (1 liter) bottles of sparkling water


Directions:

1. To make lemon syrup, put the sugar, lemon peel and water in a saucepan.
Heat and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

2.  Remove from the heat and pour into a glass jar. Store in refrigerator to cool. It should be good
for up to one week.

3.  In a large container, combine the cooled lemon syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling water. Add plenty of ice and serve with optional sliced lemons and a mint sprig garnish. Enjoy!!
