Hershey's Best Brownies


I have been making these brownies for two years and they are SO yummy! This recipe will include a creamy brownie frosting. ;)



Hershey's Best Brownies

Yields: 24

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 eggs
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

How-to:

1. Preheat oven 350˚ Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan
2. Mix melted butter, sugar and vanilla.
3. Add eggs one at a time. Beating after each addition.
4. Add cocoa and beat until well blended.
5. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat well.
6. Stir in nuts if desired.
7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
8. Bake 30-35 minutes or until brownies start to pull away from sides of pan.
9  Cool completely. Prepare and frost with creamy brownie frosting if desired.
10. Cut into bars.

CREAMY BROWNIE FROSTING:
6 Tbsp. butter, softened
6 Tbsp. cocoa powder
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup or honey
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar
2-4 Tbsp. milk

Beat butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla in a small bowl. Add powdered sugar and milk. Beat well. Makes 1 2/3 cups frosting.
